February 2019
An arctic high pressure ridge has settled in over Saskatchewan. Temperatures under this ridge are very cold this morning, with some -40 readings over parts of the western and northern grainbelt. Even with winds of 5 or 10 km/h, this is giving extreme wind chill values of -40 to -50 over many areas.
Some moderation is expected this afternoon, however extreme wind chills of -40 to -50 will return once again tonight and persist into Thursday morning.
